A garden for Margaret.
The garden was designed to be contemporary yet traditional, combining modern materials with classic planting to create a timeless and welcoming space. The layout was kept flat and fully accessible, all on one level to ensure ease of movement and comfort for Margaret.
A flat lawn formed the central focus, bordered by traditional cottage-style planting and a rockery that flowed naturally around the seating area, featuring alpines and textured planting to provide colour and interest throughout the seasons. A curved path led to a separate shed area through a wooden arbour, adding both structure and charm. The paving framed the house, extending into the garden with a circular centrepiece that created an inviting outdoor seating area. Modern porcelain slabs were used throughout, edged with traditional stone setts to seamlessly blend contemporary design with classic detail.
The result was a harmonious, low-maintenance garden that perfectly balanced modern simplicity with timeless character and warmth.
